Today last period, I forgot I had a presentation. I didn't have no notes or nothing. I went up did my thing without being nervous, teacher said I did great and she's a hard grader. Next two kids come up to present, and the kids start laughing at them, and mocking them in their face. I will admit they looked awkward, but it's not my right to judge someone. And this was a MORAL ISSUES class in a small private school that teaches us to have good morals and their mocking someone because their different. The was the last class that I thought anyone would do any judging. Honestly I felt bad for the kid, he tried to tell his point for every second a kid would start laughing.

omg
your high school seems so messed up.
i’ve never met any mean person at mine.

I had that problem once.

It ended up with 2 of the kids on the ground unconscious.

It was in 6th grade.

In first grade I was in top of my class. Some kid kept messing with me. Punched him in the nose and he got nosebleed and started crying.

In 8th grade my sensei disowned me. Said I was talented in martial arts but have absolutely no control.

Now I do.

Yea my school is messed up. Specifically my class, they called us the worst class the school has ever had. A majority of the class is superficial and snobby. The girls are catty, the guys are arrogant. It’s like a stupid tv show with an ugly drama happening everyday. I still don’t know why I still go here, and for the amount of tuition my parents pay for the school.

My H.S. is even worse. I can’t STAND the girls especially…ugh…they laugh and giggle over stupid things…like bumping into people or dropping something in the hallway…they just HAVE to talk about it…they don’t know how to mind their own ****ing business.Same goes if you’re talking/asking a question in class…they just have to exchange funny looks. I swear, nothing is more irritating than hearing someone that’s white trash speak.so immature.

I could come up with a list of 1001 reasons about how rude they can get but i’ll stop here.

/rant.

How do you justify calling judging people immoral? Impolite, yes. But immoral? I know you didn’t claim it was but it seemed like you implied it. Personally I find brainwashing immoral, but I guess some don’t have a problem with it.

Yeah, I’m just being argumentative.

Regardless, you go to a private school. Either they dealt with it or they don’t care. If it wasn’t the former that should tell you something about what values they really hold.

If all of you think your high schools is filled with so many rude, ignorant, and immature people, come to mine. I would probably rate it as 9 on the 1-10 scale from the best to worst socially. All these dramas happen. Mostly when there’s a presentation on a special day, I always seem to feel so nervous approaching to the front even though there’s a teacher watching my back because I know kids in my High School will just laugh, mock me, and act really immature “Ooh, look at that kid’s picture.” I can’t take it anymore, but it’s just a month away until graduation so I’m happy I will be out.

So far, I have yet to find anyone in my school who is friendly except for couple of people. Girls are manipulators and tend to look for male statuses and assume I’m nothing compared to the rest of the “popular” student body and they also do laugh for no reason and are a bit disrespectful.

You know what’s ludicrous… whole entire **** gets carried on facebook & formspring. You’ll find so many people writing things about me and other people. Tomorrow I have a presentation in my Economics class, so I might as well just present it and ignore what anyone else thinks about me.

I think this happens at many schools all the time. It’s quite natural for someone for make fun of another. All right, maybe not laughing in their face, but certainly talking about them behind their backs. Just ignore those that are being rude, tell them they’re being annoying, then side with those that you sympathize with.

You won’t expect it to happen too much at harvard or top colleges. Most people are mature in that case.

^Yes, I would certainly hope so.

Is it possible to be top of your class in 1st grade?

Anyways.

You guys seem to have really mean schools…

I would rate my school 4/10 on meanness. Most people are friendly, even though some are fake friendly.

Don’t expect girls to be friendlier in college. Some are still nutcrackers that can get on you. Even if she looks nice, she personally isn’t.

Wasn’t grading more subjective in elementary school?

Nonetheless, come to my school. It’s a imperfect 10.

Everyone in the sophomore class gossips, talks behind the other’s back, rude as hell, etc

It’s funny how most of the schools mentioned as being mean have been private schools :P

At my school, sure, we have the occasional brutes, but I think, overall, we’re a good a class. If you join the honors/AP classes, you generally avoid the “mean” ones.

Haha, actually, most people are in fact very nice when you get to know them :). Maturity levels also tend to improve as you get older.

“Don’t expect girls to be friendlier in college. Some are still nutcrackers that can get on you. Even if she looks nice, she personally isn’t.”

Personally, I haven’t met anyone in college who I would consider a “*****.” Though it’s likely as soon as I would meet them, I would never talk to them again and would completely forget the encounter ever happened.

Not necessarily as I’ve pointed out.

Btw, I go to a big public high school, which isn’t that good. Education also sucks even though it’s known to be competitive.

People in my school are so petty they make fun of people for eating the same food at breakfast every day.

They whisper about you while you’re right behind them and then glance at you like you won’t notice.

I have yet to find anyone else besides myself that doesn’t see the world from the view of the little rural boondock bubble.

Nobody talks about anything of value. Ever.

People in my senior class act like 5 year olds…

I’m personally appalled sometimes…

In my AP Lit class, the maturity level is high. They know how to shut up, listen to the teacher, and do their work.

But in regular level classes, many of which can’t be avoided in my poor school system…it’s…disturbing.

Seniors and Juniors with no respect. At all. Cussing at the teacher and changing their grade when the teachers aren’t look. They don’t give a s**t about anything other than themselves and their pathetic desires to goof off 24/7.

I watched a guy cuss out a teacher because she gave us a worksheet…with five questions…where the answers were on the paper in a two paragraph reading assignment…in the easiest elective in the school.

And these are people going out into the real world…in three weeks.

They aren’t just mean…it’s way worse than that.

At my 3000+ public school, maturity is low. We have large groups of sophomores skip, and they post visual evidence on FB. And the school finds out the day before they do it.
