Some much needed advice, please.

Okay,
SAT I - 2200:
Math - 720
Reading - 730
Writing - 750

SAT II:
Literature - 730
Math2 - 670.

Applying ED Wharton.
Gave the Math2 Subject Tests without really being prepared for it since we hadn't covered anything in school that time. Do I need to give it again, or is it good enough?
And are the stats good enough for Wharton?
[International Student, no financial aid.]

Thanks.

No ECs?

REJECT.

LOL yes ECs. And good academic record, community service, a few awards blah blah.

Was asking about the SAT part only.

It's possible, but you're an international which greatly reduces your chances.

Hmm. Little more info:
Don't know how to calculate GPA, but have been quite consistent, and scored above 90% in a national exam in the 10th grade.
Playing piano for around 4 years, with written examination Grade 1 (Trinity College Of Music, London) and practical examinations Grade 1 and 2. And play the guitar as well. In a band.
Somewhat government approved project on a social issue last year (award).
Been involved in a lot of clubs and things, but no real leadership position :(.
Sports till the 9th grade (athletics), but none after.
Jazz dance for the last two and a half years, and reached a high level.
Community service good enough too.
Work ex: this summer, magazine publishing firm for a few weeks.
Great rec's, will try a really good essay.

Think that includes most of it; will package it real well and things.
ANY chance at all?

The piano won't do much- in order for music to really help, usually you need to be highly ranked and skilled. Also, piano is a very common instrument so theres no great demand for it. I have Trinity level 7 solo piano and also high distinctions in music theory and i dont think it'll help really cause i dont compete. Don't emphasize piano, emphasize the jazz dance, it's the most distinctive. and also, don't laundry list your clubs.
You might have a chance depending on the country you come from, one of the reasons why internationals are so hard to predict. I'd bet it was new zealand, england, or australia? those are really the only countries with trinity exams I know of haha. if you live in NZ, don't calculate your GPA- trying to convert NCEA levels into GPA is a headache and it doesnt work out

Okay, well, I thought it might. I scored merit on both my practical examinations, and have performed a few times too; with my band, as well as alone.

Haha, no points for guessing, then. It's INDIA. LOL.

Well, I think the only thing that'd really hurt me will be the no leadership position thing. Cause I was a Prefect in the 8th, and after that you can be one this year (senior). But I didn't become, nor did I really want to. Though that would've really helped, I suppose.

Anyway, I plan to give MathIIC again, cause it's clearly not good enough, right? And maybe MathI with it.

I had a question about essays too; what are the most cliched answers? Cause I have a few topics in mind but then I don't want them to be the exact same as a bunch of other people's.

Thanks.

don't take math I if you're going to be taking II anyway...it has a harder curve and i believe colleges would rather see math II

I guess so, but just for the heck of it. Maybe it'll be better. And then I can send whichever's better.

730 lit's fine, though, isn't it? We haven't done squat in school. I mean actual literature. We do such boring, BAD stuff in english =[.
