If I prep really hard for the SAT and score 2250+, how much do I need to prep (estimate) to score 35 on the ACT? What is equivalent to a 35 ACT on the SAT?

I am really noob. For the SAT, 2300 is a really solid score for Ivys. What would be the ACT equivalent to the chances a person with 2300 would have? 34? 35? 33?

Also, if I just take a diagnostic SAT, what score should I get to have a legit shot at 35?

Also, how hard is it to improve an ACT comp. score a couple points? (equivalent to how much improvement on the SAT?)?

Thanks!

a 35 on the ACT is equal to about a 2330 on the SAT

nope it is about a 2330, maybe 2320 or 2340 depending on school

i thought he asked what he should get on a diagnostic test, my bad. you usually go up 1or 2 points on test day. but yeah, aim for a 35. 34 at LEAST.

oh, i was just answering what SAT was equivalent to a 35 ACT

ok wait. for the diagnostic, what should I get if I also plan on prepping for a couple of weeks to get 35? Also, why do scores go up 1 to 2 pts. on test day? This never really happens with the SAT.

Yes it does, you usually go up 30-100 points on SAT test day (depending on how high you usually score). I had a friend who scored 1700 on his practice tests, and got a 1900 on test day. Another friend had an 1800, and broke 2000 on test day- without any prep. I went up 100 points as well, as did my brother.

wow, I don;t know if my score went up or not, gotta wait until May 20th to find out if it did.

So, after I write the June SAT, I will write an ACT diagnostic (can I find one online?). So, first I would look over the format of the test online or something to understand what to do and what the sections are all about. Then I’ll take the test.

So, you say that if I score a 32-33, that a 35 is very possible in a few weeks of prep? Also, how hard is it to score that after scoring ~2200 on the SAT?

May 20th is killing me! I want to know how I did now >.<

Yeah, a few weeks of prep should be all you need. Shouldn’t be very hard.

^So, wait, a 32 is what I’d need on a diag. test to be able to get to 35 in 2 weeks of really, really solid prep (like a ton of hours a day)?

And yea, I know I didn’t do as well as I can on this May SAT, but with score choice I’m not that worried. Actually, I kind of feel ****ed at myself that I’m not stressed lol. I feel like I should be feeling some anxiety but I don’t…odd since i’m a really motivated person.

And is ACT english easier than SAT? And how easy/hard is it to get 35 on the Science portion?

Do an ACT practice test to see how you’d do. Most do about the same in each test, but some people do dramatically better in one over the other.

does the ACT site have somewhere where I can download and print a practice test?

[Internet Archive Wayback Machine](<a href=“Wayback Machine”>Wayback Machine)

There you go pal :D

how do the curves and stuff work on the ACT? How many can you get wrong in the sections to still get 35?

you can check them out on the test thing I just posted. like -1 for 35 math, -1 for science = 34/35, -3 reading = 35 and -3 english = 35? Something like that

what?! jeez, there are like 60 math q’s! just 1 wrong is a 35! Ouch.

And are the reading and english sections easier/harder/the same as those of the SAT?

Hi guys…well how hard is the ACT for non-native english speakers?? is there anything ACT in other languages?? Thank you :)

ralec the site that you provided doesnt seem to work. anyways, thanks for the post

I got lower on test day. I suppose it depends on the person.
