As reported in the B-ton paper this morning. (Sorry, but a link won't work. I couldn't find the info at the IDS or IU news sites)

Average SAT up again to 1203. Up 29 points compared to fall 2008

Approximately 7340 enrolled. I believe IU was predicting about 7100 given the uncertain economy.

64% instate

Record 33,000 applicants

Overall 36% are in the top 10% of their classes. 72% in the top quarter. The numbers for instate students were about 40% and 77% respectively.

Minority enrollment was up 1% to 13.2%

Indiana students with SATs above 1300 increased by 19% with a 50% increase in enrollment.

The one number missing from the article was the 25-75th percentile numbers for the freshman class.

I'd expect a similar article from the IDS that can be linked soon.

McRobbie and trustees are atributing the high numbers to the automatic scholarships. No mention of the economy, but I'm sure it played a big roll also.
