My nephew took the Oct. ACT and needs his scores for ED applications. Deadlines are a couple of days away. The Oct. ACT scores were posted online on Nov. 14, but my nephew's scores weren't there.

The ACT Prep forum here on CC has several threads from kids who are in the same boat. I counted 26 posters there who haven't yet gotten their scores. While 26 isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, it is a lot considering the universe of kids posting on CC who took the Oct. test, maybe as much as 10-15%.

The folks at ACT are telling these kids that there was an unusually high number of kids taking the Oct. test and that's why scores are late (I don't believe that for a minute). They are saying that scores will only be posted on Wednesdays and Fridays, but none of the CC 26 received scores today. After what happened with the SAT scores a while back -- many tests receiving incorrect scores because of problems with the scoresheets -- and the College Board's hesitance to own up to the problem in a timely manner, I'm wondering if ACT is having trouble now.

Any suggestions as to how to find out what's really going on? Has anyone else dealt with this in the past at ACT? I'd just like to help my nephew get his scores in time to add to his ED applications (that's plural because he's a Questbridge finalist and is applying ED to 8 colleges through their special program). He took the October sitting because he was assured that scores would be out in time for consideration.
