Some of the six colleges do not accept TAG?

So I spoke to my transfer counselor. She said that when you apply for TAG at UCSD, 2 of the six colleges do not accept TAG. So she told me to put 2 of those colleges at end of priority college list. Is this true?
I download the PDF comparison of six colleges. Revellve seems to require more than just TAG but I do not see anywhere that it says they do not accept TAG or IGETC.

as far as i know, all of the six colleges accept it; however, revelle, roosevelt, and i think sixth require you to do a few more GEs along with TAG and IGETC. if you apply to muir, marshall or warren, your GEs are basically done.

TAG will just get you admitted to the university itself. It has no bearing on which college you get into.

I think that what you might be running into is that you have to plan to complete IGETC by the time you finish at your CC in order to qualify for TAG at UCSD. And while IGETC covers the lower division GE requirements for four of the colleges, it doesn’t for Revelle and Roosevelt.

I expect that you can still get into either of those two colleges, but you’d need to take extra classes once you got to UCSD in order to graduate from them. Or, depending on what the requirement is, you might even be able to satisfy those requirements before you transfer; it’d just be in addition to IGETC completion. (For at least one of the two, passing an advanced enough foreign language is sufficient, IIRC.)

tagging on buildings are probably not allowed.

har har har

@Gevaisa, it is probably what my counselor was talking about. I heard she mentioned Revelle and Roosevelt. Thanks for clarify that out.

Even with IGETC, each of the six colleges will require you to complete more GE’s. Although Revelle and ERC do not accept IGETC for full completion of lower-division GE’s, that does not necessarily mean you will have to take more GE’s in those two colleges compared to the other four.

A quick breakdown:
Warren: 3 upper-division
Muir: A writing course and another GE
Roosevelt: 3 making of the modern world classes
Marshall: 2 upper-division (one of which will require significant writing)
Sixth: 2 classes
Revelle: Largely depends on major and language proficiency. Could be anywhere from 0-8.
