Some of what i was asked during my interviews...

<p>heres a vague list of most of the questions that i can remember from my 3 interviews last night (WP, AFA, NA)--- double asterisks (**) means that that question was asked in every interview:</p>

<p>why do you want to go to the academy?
what is integrity?
explain a time when you had to make a difficult leadership decision.
*<em>do you know the honor code? Recite it.
*</em>do you plan on playing football at the academy?
what is the iraqi parliament voting on tomorrow?
why does the honor code exist?
*<em>we saw that you're applying to the other academies as well, be completely honest, are we your first choice?
how was your boys state experience?
what is happening in afghanistan right now?
what is your current class schedule and how are you doing?
we saw that senator lubbers wrote you a letter of rec, did you help with her campaign?
we noticed that you describe youself as the 'good example' in your personal statement, what makes you a good example?
Have you also applied for the ROTC scholarship? if so, at which schools?
where do you see yourself in 10 years?
*</em>have you retaken or plan to retake the SAT/ACT?
*<em>we noticed you received a D in Pre-Calculus 2X your sophomore year, how do you expect to go to the academy and pass calculus?
what do you want to fly if you become a pilot?
what will you be doing to remain physically fit so you will be prepared for the academy?
do you enjoy any other types of athletics besides football, rugby?
we see you ran for governor at boys state, did you win?
how does being the captain of the rugby team compare to the captain of other sports?
*</em>do you have any questions for the panel?</p>

<p>these were the only ones i can remember. they are in no particular order or pertain to any particular academy. hope they help?</p>

<p>Hey NCR4,
I have my interview on the 13th. I was wondering what state your interview was in? Also, in general how was the interview? Was it easy, hard, long, short, fun, boring? Hope you make it.
Thanks </p>

<p>Those three interviews were with panels from Congressman Dan Burton's Indiana's 5th District (part of indianapolis, and large suburbs). The interviews were pretty similar, each running about 12-15 minutes, the first being significantly harder (just the way it is). They want to find out how motivated YOU are and that its YOUR motivation rather than that of your parents. They seemed very interested in my flaws, so be prepared to explain yours if you have any. I managed to turn a negative into a huge positive by explaining them how i took care and responded to my situation. If I were you I would think of a question to ask the panel at the end of the interview b/c thats probably better than saying "i dont have any questions". oh and maybe read up on a few big current events too? but most of all, they can feel the vibe of confidence, which is a good thing! so flaunt yours, they like to see it.</p>

<p>I actually have more interviews on the 13th as well with Senator Richard Lugar (IN)</p>

<p>oh i forgot, you MUST know the honor code:</p>

<p>WE WILL NOT LIE, STEAL, OR CHEAT,
NOR,
TOLERATE AMONG US ANYONE WHO DOES.</p>

<p>The Cadet Honor Code is defined as "A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do."
This is a good link:</p>

<p>they won't have a problem with either-- they are one in the same. the one i stated is actually the air force one</p>
