Some people are just tactless.

<p>Friend: Hey, did you apply to _____?
I: Yeah, it's a bit of a reach for me.
Friend: I applied too. It's my safety.
I: That's good. I don't know if I can get in, though.
Friend: Please, it's such a crappy school, they take everybody.
I: ... thanks.</p>

<p>Yesterday</p>

<p>Friend: So did you get into ____?
I: No, waitlisted.
Friend: That's too bad. I got accepted.
I: ... Good for you.
Friend: But don't feel too bad. Once I go to a better school, you can have my spot.
I: ....... thanks.</p>

<p>'Tis how I feel speaking to people about county college. 'Cept I’m on the other end. In my area, most aspire to go to county, or none at all. With my whining, “Princeton will NEVERR want me!”, I can’t help but to then want to shoot myself in the face. I need to learn humility, dammit.</p>

<p>LMAO, wow, what a jerk! after reading the first bit, i was like, well maybe he was trying to make u feel better? but um, obviously not the case :stuck_out_tongue:
don’t worry though, karma is a B :)</p>

<p>The most ■■■■■■■■ thing is that I actually organized this person’s resume for her, helped write and edit her essay, and tutored her in one of her classes. I even did her homework a few times. Every time she whined about how she was never going to get accepted to college (twice per day), I assured her that she would.</p>

<p>If this were an ■■■, I’m pretty sure every single person would click “you deserved it”.</p>

<p>I agree, you’re life is f***ed.</p>

<p>Punch. in. balls.</p>

<p>Wow. What a dick.
I can relate to the getting kicked when you’re already down.
Yesterday:
“mom I just got rejected at Chicago and Duke”
M: “wow, I’m sorry to hear that. I guess it wasn’t meant to be”
“well, yeah. It still sucks. I’m disappointed because Duke was my first choice. I loved it”
M: “It will all work out. You can’t really handle living far away from home anyway”</p>

<p>Wow, your “friend” seems like a major dbag, no offense.</p>
