Some popular hard/medium/easy APs in your opinion?

lol @ kelper. Lucky you.

In my opinion, for ones I have taken or heard a lot about:

EASY:
AP Psych
AP Environmental Science
AP Government

MEDIUM:
AP Calculus AB (not so bad)
AP English Literature
AP US History (but it's on the medium/hard edge)

HARD:
AP Calculus BC (so I hear)
AP Physics (I'm in this right now...AHHHH!)
AP English Language (for a lot of people, not for me)
AP Spanish

When I was in high school, I'd say it went something like this:

easy:
Calc BC (because you didn't have to study to get a 5)
Microecon
Macroecon
Government

med:
Bio (lots of work, but not really hard)
Phys C E/M
English Lit
English Lang
Chem (I had a tough time with this, but that was due to bad work ethic sophomore year)

Hard:
Phys C Mech (my teacher could not explain FBDs to save his life)
US History (I've never taken it, but it was a lot of reading, and a lot of work for my classmates who did. Most of them got 5s though)
And language (particularly French and Spanish, because a lot of fluent speakers take this test, which makes the curve more diffcult)

is there anyone here who has received a 5 on AP Latin Lit

Which one? Wel,, I haven't taken either, but there are two, right?

AP Bio is a ***** when you have a crappy teacher.

We have 2 AP Bio teachers at my school. I took it last year and I got put into the crappy teacher's class.

We started out with about 33 kids. Guess how many we had at the end of the year?

14 fricken kids.

No one got an A first semester OR second semester. First semester I think the highest grade was like an 86.

On the other hand, the other teacher....the one I didn't get....

Almost everyone had a B or C and there were quite a bit of A's.

He was way more experienced and evidently taught better. I know a few kids in my class who actually transferred to go to his class and it got to the point where my teacher had to talk to us and tell us that they taught exactly the same way, even though everyone knew that was BS. He was really offended.

Psych, APES and Human Geo are generally considered the easiest, right?

AP US History was the hardest class in my school, but that only made the actual AP Exam really easy. :)

AP Biology was pretty challenging, but the kind of challenge that you can actually handle. And I learned a TON of stuff in that class.

AP Japanese was harder than I thought it was. I guess I'd rate it medium, but only because I hardly ever do the work in that class.

AP Literature isn't too bad. I'll also rate it Medium.

APES is a giveaway, I mean, the APES students have field trips practically every week!

APUSH = death

i love apush :)
biology = too much work in my school :(
world = easy
calc = easy
apes = med (apes in my school is pretty hard)
eng lit/lang = hard
foreign lang, chem, physics c = DEATH

I'm thinking of self-studying AP stat next year. and possible AP govt., since my school doesn't offer it (stupid)

any thoughts or actual advice? are these relatively easy courses to prep on ur own?

AP Government is really easy if you just crack open a couple practice books and already know the general gist of the US Government system. So that one will be pretty easy, in my opinion.

AP Latin Lit is one of the 2 Latin APs
the other is AP Vergil

This is based on the test(to general population) and the subject matter itself(to me)
EASY-
Chemistry
Calc AB
Physcology
Statistics

Medium-
Language and Composition
Physics A/B
Poli Sci
Economics
Music thoery
World History
Calc BC
Computer Science
Euro History
Art History
Environmental Science

HARD-
Literature
Biology
US history
American government
Physics C
Studio Art

its different for everyone.

easy: eng lang, bio
medium: compsci
hard: history (blegh...)

The ONLY hard course is one run by an OPINIONATED teacher.

If it isn't run by an opinionated teacher, it shouldn't been too hard.

Well, I gotta say that Physics B is no walk in the park...

No kidding. AP Physics is killing me, slowly, slowly, but oh so surely.

I'm not sure about all of them but this seem to be what it is turning out to be...

Easy:
AP Calculus AB and BC
AP Environmental
AP Government

Hard:
AP Language
AP Chemistry
AP US History

I don't really know mediums, and everyone in AP Chemistry in my school seems to be failing. Of course, these just might be the courses...

Of my current AP schedule:

Easy:
AP Calc AB
AP USH

Med:
AP Eng lang
AP Bio

Hard:
AP Environmental Science (I thought this was supposed to be an easy class) the tests in this class is impossible :(

Can anyone suggest me a good cram book for APES, to supplement me throughout the course? I really need to get an A in this class.

Our freshman AP World class is pretty challenging grade-wise, but last year the class scored well on the exams. 5s and 4s with 5s by anyone who really tried.
