Some Pre-SAT jitters. Help me out.

Hey everyone, i just wanted to thank everyone one of you. This board has been ever so friendly and helpful. But I still feel nervous and insecure about the test. Tomorrow is the last day. For about 3 months ive been doing prep in 10 reals, Cracking the SAT, and Grubers. I only memorized the 1000 word list from takesat.com though. The main reason i feel so uneasy about this saturday is because of NCSSM. (***) Well im a sophomore and Im applying for the North Carolina School of Science and math. Basically its like applying for college and they can only accept around 30 ish from each district. I want to do well on this test because its the only thing that will make me stand out. I dont know what ill do if i dont get in. I cant live in this town anymore, i need to get out of the house. So as you can see, the SAT isnt just some test im taking. It can alter my fate. My scores on 10 reals consisted of 1300-1430s. Most of the kids around here are applying with 1250-1300 range. The highest ive heard of was a 1390 and a 1320. So i guess I have to beat that. So basically what i want to know is how consistant 10 reals is with the test. Because its like 3 years old. Also what should i do tomorrow? Relax? Cram? Im scared.

Thanks for reading i know it was a lot.

Use tomorrow as a day to relax. If you want to look over a few concepts or something, thats fine, but I would strongly recommend that you do not cram or take more practice tests. You spent sufficient time studying and there's really nothing that 30 more practice problems can do. As for 10RS, they're pretty accurate, especially since the CB has been "recycling" tests recently (you'll never get a test that was in 10RS, but you might get one that was originally used in the last few years).

Good luck!

DO NOT LOOK AT ANY PREP BOOKS TOMORROW...you'll end up freaking out and get yourself all wound u, its in your brain...if you have nervous energy, walk around the block, clean your room, etc. I always told my Ds to do something fun... a movie, the mall, dinner with family or friends...Do not focus on what you think you don't know during the test, remember what you do know...when my daughter was in 7th grade she took the SAT cold (no prep, nothing) for a scholarship (which she got!!) anyway, we didn't talk about the test, and she got her favorite dinner before the test and a Jamba Juice in the morning...She also took the SSAT for high school, studied, but more importantly, relaxed!!! Follow rituals, what works in the past, usually works.....you will be fine, do fine, most importantly, trust yourself and bring extra pencils!!!

Well, they are real SATs so how much more accurate do you want? Just lose the nerves and you'll do great. I got 1360 in October or something my sophomore year. If you're applying for a "smart kids" school I have faith in you to best me. ;)
