Some Qs about applying to US colleges

Hello!
I'm from Sweden and I will apply for US college next year. I've asked 2 teachers to write letters of recommendations for me and I've chosen to use the "Common Application Form" from: https://app.commonapp.org/

The reasons why I'm choosing "Common application form" is that (I would guess) most teachers wouldn't like to fill 10 different forms with approx. the same questions and our school doesn't have an own form as students usually just go to Swedish Universities which doesn't require Letters of Recommendations.

The thing is that I read the members list of "Common app form" and some of the colleges I would like to apply to isn't members.

Do these colleges still accept Common app form (if you attach it to their own form)?

Is applying with this form frowned upon by non-member Universities?

Is a computer written Letter of Recommendation attached to the regular form (with a teacher signature) accepted?

And I have a question about the EC listmaking, do you have to prove everything you say? Because I have some ECs that I probably can't prove, like playing Badminton twice a month and such.

Thank you in advance, Andrew.

Our D applied to some schools that ONLY accepted their own application, not the Common. Some that do accept the Common also have their own supplemental application form. Every school she applied to accepted letters of recommendation separately. They were sent with her package from her school, with the high school profile, transcript, etc. I do not think a college will check your twice a month badminton, but why list it if you are concerned about it? Good Luck.

If a college isn't part of the Common app, they obviously wouldn't accept the common app teacher recommendation form (or any other common app form for that matter). Why would they? There's a reason why they didnt join.

Give your teacher the school-specific recommendation for a non-common app school. Usually all they need to do is to print out another copy of your recommendation and fill in a few tickboxes. It's not that big of an effort.
