What kind of opportunity does it offer?? I mean, what’s so good about being part of it??
I heard there are many programs related to further careers. Are there any related to med school?
And about the honors housing, what if i miss the priority deadline(3/15)? is there a chance i’ll be able to get a space afterwards??

My neighbor was accepted to the Medical school as a freshman, contingent upon her maintaining a specified grade point and meeting other requirements. She was a NMF and I do know this program is very selective and not offered to all honors students. With regards to the housing question, I would suggest contacting OSU.

Deadline has passed for the Early Admissions Pathway (for reservation of a spot in medical school).

The advantages of Honors is that you do have classes which are harder, hence the 'Honors', and you get to schedule your classes earlier than everyone else. The average internship starting salary for kids in the Honors is about $5,000 more than those not in the Honors program, so it definitely is recognized by outside companies. Honors also allows you to be more one-on-one with your professors, classes are smaller. You are also guaranteed some form of merit aid from the Honors, regardless of income level. All the students that I talked to that were in the program said that it really isn't much harder than the regular classes, but having Honors is definitely an advantage.

If you miss the deadline, you can still apply. The actual deadline is some time afterwards, the only reason for the deadline is that if you have the requirements, then you will be automatically admitted into the Honors program, only if you apply before the honors deadline. If you miss the deadline, then you have to do the regular honors application just like anyone else who did not have the auto-in stats but still want to be in it.
