how religious is stonehill. i know it is a catholic school.....but to what extent? are there pictures of jesus in the cafeteria?

would you describe this school as liberal or conervative. the fact that its catholic suggests the idea that it might be more conservative, but id like to hear your opinions

and how much school spirit is there? are sporting events a big deal here?

Check out the college visits- you can access them from the main discussion page. There is a review posted.
Visited 4 times and my son stayed overnight. He did not feel a strong religious influence as he had at Providence and Siena.

I am agnostic and not really attracted to western religions and I fit right in here. You have your religious people and your non-religious people just like at any other school. I see it this way...if you are Catholic u will have many opportunities to explore your religion here through activities and churches and such...but if ur not Catholic then you just don't go to Church and such. I don't feel isolated at all. I am loving Stonehill so far...it is really great (and it stopped raining!) The atmosphere is great, although so far I have only been on campus and off for one activity (one part of orientation is a volunteer project...mine was to play with toddlers in one of the small cities close by...it was soooo fun). Best of luck in ur exploration! (oh and it's really friendly. I feel like I can sit at any lunch table and be included. I also say hi to a ton of people as I walk by and most (only a couple of times I didn't and that was because I don't think they heard me lol) of the time get smiles and responses.)

They also put me in a GIANT quad that everyone is jealous of and I love lol
