Some questions about Wellesley...

If I apply Wellesley for ED, the SAT score the I will take in NOVEMBER be considered for ED application?
And do they look at your senior grades (for ED and RD)?

Also, is Wellesley hard for grading? And what are the pre-med advisors, and opportunies for pre-meds?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, Wellesley is known for tough grading. I have never gotten a grade that’s A-/B+ (halfway between an A- and B+) before I came to Wellesley. Med schools know this ([To the recipient of Wellesley College transcripts:](http://www.wellesley.edu/Registrar/grading_explanation_for_transcripts.html)). Wellesley says that acceptances to grad/ med/ law school haven’t gone down after implementing this policy.

I’m not premed, but I do know that Wellesley students are generally happy with the science departments. There are research opportunities at Wellesley over the summer, and opportunities to apply for a stipend for summer research elsewhere.

I would call the Admissions Office to check if they will consider your November SAT score for ED. According to the Wellesley Admissions webpage, it is suggested the latest one should wait to take the SAT is one month prior to the application deadline.

You asked if they look at your senior grades (for ED and RD). I am sure they look at your senior grades for RD. However, since there is little time between the start of the school year and the ED deadline, they might want to see your mid-semester grades, if your school provides this type of mid-semester evaluation. If your school runs on a trimester system, then I suspect they would want to see your first trimester grades. You might want to check with the Admissions Office to have a definite answer. Good luck!
