<li>I'm wondering how long my college essay should be? Some people say 600-900 words, I have about 800 (3 pages double spaced..seems too long to me). Some say 250 words is enough, but that seems too short. Opinions?</li>

2. My essay topic is about how I was the understudy of a kid who had a lead role in the school musical and because he lost credit for a class by cutting, he was kicked out 4 days before the show. </p>

<p>I will title it "4 months in 4 days" or "the understudy," because I learned 4 months of rehearsal material in 4 days, and was the savior of the show. It's kind of like an epic tale. I have depression and anxiety, so I was kind of a shy kid not doing extracurriculars. I enter the musical, and then this big event happens where I breakdown the 3rd day and lose hope but manage to pull through under pressure and save the show, and learn about myself. I basically overcome my depression.</p>

<li><p>I believe 600 words is an appropriate length. This is about a page, more or less. If you think 800 is okay, go for it. But if I were you, I would at least cut it down to 700 words to be safe. But really, 800 is way better than 1000, haha.</p></li>
<li><p>I really like this idea. Make sure you are descriptive with your writing. A little quirkiness can be good, too. Just make sure it isn’t a big long narrative, because that can get boring quickly.</p></li>
