some questions and my chances, please help =)

<p>i turned in my app through commonapp late Dec, and i still havent gotten a confirmation email from Carnegie, should i be worried. i got one from commonapp saying that i successfully submitted my app though.</p>

<p>i applied late and didnt do an interview, both of which are going to hurt me A LOT (but im from California, so it was hard to do both).</p>

<p>here are my stats:
3.9 UW, 4.2 W
2120 sats
sat twos's: math II 780, us history 690
400 hours community service (soccer freshmen yr, hospital, City Year, mentoring, plus clubs)
3 clubs plus National Honors Society
1 honors class sophomore year, 3 AP classes junior year ( Calc AB - 5, English - 4, Apush - 4), and 3 AP classes this year
top 9% of class (would be higher if school weighed our gpa)</p>

<p>do i have no chance of getting in? it's okay if you guys are harsh....this was one of my high end schools anyway that i dont expect to get into. thanks!</p>

<p>I have a similar problem. I am applying late and didn’t have an interview. How much does that actually hurt my chance?</p>

<p>I am sure they are just swamped with the huge number of applications they got recently. As long as it shows up on the common app site you should be OK</p>

<p>Also, what school in CMU are you applying to? You have a decent chance in most schools IMO, but SCS, Tepper and ECE are hard to chance.</p>
