I realize the SAT is just one small part of the admissions process. I have a few questions that hopefully will be answered by some kind individuals.

1 -- I'm taking the SAT on 6-3, and any small tips would help. (especially from those people who did really well)

2 -- Is the writing section supposed to be significantly easier than the verbal or math? When I do the writing, it's almost as if the errors inherently slip out of the paper at me. I seem to get about 90% of those correct.

3 -- Are there any recurring math problems that any of you could warn me about?

4 -- Do you guys advocate reading the huge 850 word paragraphs on the verbal portion? I usually just skip over them for fear of running out of time. (I have high anxiety)

5 -- Do I really need that high of a score if I plan to go to RPI (I won the $60,000 scholarship for math and science), my grades are consistently in the high 90s (97-99), I get glorious recommendations from teachers and above all I write a very persuasive essay to them? (For reference, I seem to get about 670-710 math, 650-680 verbal and 710-740 writing)

Any info will be greatly appreciated. I really have no contact whatsoever with any previous test takers.
