please help me ! thanks soooooooooooooo much!(^_−)−☆

Finally wish every one gets into his dream school~ Stay happy^^

Your GPA is good.

Your SATs are a tad low

You don’t need to submit SAT IIs to NYU if you’ve already done your SAT. NYU only requires the SAT or 3 SAT IIs or the ACT or 3 APs taken junior year.

Steinhardt is easier to get into than CAS.
NYU goes Stern/Tisch -> CAS -> Gallatin -> Steinhardt
I’m not familiar with the order after that.

thank u sooooooo much!
ah, would you please tell me why steinhardt is easier to get in ???
does that mean it’s not that good in academics?

Stern, Tisch and CAS all get slightly more applicants per spot that Steinhardt, thus they have a larger selection pool and a slightly lower acceptance rate with slightly higher stats for accepted students.

On average I recommend 1900+ for Steinhardt, 1900~2000+ for Gallatin, 2000+ for CAS and 2100+ for Stern. As these seem to reflect the average applicant pool for these schools.

All schools at NYU are good for their respective fields. Thus NYU is a top “elite”, as some may call it, college.

However, Stern and Tisch have excellent undergraduate and graduate program reputations. They are some of the top programs in their fields.

CAS has graduate programs on par with many of the ivy league schools and as such, CAS has an excellent graduate reputation and very good undergraduate reputation.

Steinhardt is a very good graduate and undergraduate institution. That said however, its programs are not on the same level as CAS, Stern and Tisch. This doesn’t mean that Steinhardt is by any means sub-par. It’s still a part of NYU and is still a top college.

thank you soooooooo much!…It’s so nice of you to tell me all the details(^_^)…it’s really really helpful!~
I was afraid that steinhardt is not that good. But since I am going to major in media and my SATs are not great .I guess the higher acceptance rate is in my favor~
and I’ve been checking out the courses they offer, there are still a lot of classes that we can take in CAS…and the cross school minors seems good too~…
Anyway…thanks ,again.
oh,and ,though I’m not applying to Tisch, but will it help if i sent them my portfolio?(but design is only a hobby so it might be a little immature…)

NYU does not consider any extra application material unless the major you’re applying for specifically requests it.

Thx!..this really save me a lot of time since it’s only half done(^○^)…
