Some questions on Freshman Orientation!

-I've read on some other posts about taking two summer classes. Is this required? This leads into my second question...
-If I do take two summer classes, how would I stay on-campus? I live in Miami and I'm probably going to live on campus in the fall..so are taking these classes even possible if I don't have anywhere to stay during the summer?

-That math placement test is freakin killing me. I want to give myself a lot of time to study, since I had NO idea about that until I paid my deposit (a week ago??). I know it's advised to take it before orientation, so in that case, is it advised to choose the latest orientation dates? Like in July perhaps?

-LAST question: I've seen that the move-in dates are August 15th and 16th. Classes begin the 18th. Holy. Crap. Am I going to get so lost. Any tips on how not to be the lost freshman puppy first day of college?? Thanks!

Im going to be a freshman to so i cant answer all your questions and im out of state but i know the school pretty well.

Summer classes for fl are required. I believe its a total of 9 hours but they can be taken at different fl colleges… So you can take them at a close by community over the summer 2014 or even 2015 etc. in the future when you get an off camous apartment you most likley will end up paying for summer so you might as well just take your summer clases then. And check with ucf before taking classes somewhere else because they are picky which can and cant be

The math placement is very hard espically if you havent taken pre calc etc. later orientation is not good… You miss out on picking better classes ( since its more first come / first serve and you make your scedule then) if you do not take the placement test by orientation your placed into intermediate. So inwould start studying for a month… Retake and if you still do bad consider intermediate.

Yes we will all be lost puppy dogs but you only have two classes so if you take aug 17 to walk aound campus and learn how to get to and from your dorm to your class youll. Be fine. Its a big school but once u figure out ur way its easy!

Do you know anythng about housing i have some question about that… Il message u!
