Some Questions related to CS at Columbia

Hello. I am thinking of applying to Columbia University Early Decision Next year and had a couple of questions.

  1. What is the average Computer Science class size at Columbia University SEAS?

  2. Is it possible to do a dual majors with Computer Science(SEAS) and economics?

Thanks.

Columbia generally has the smallest class sizes in the Ivy league. Over 82% of the classes are under twenty students. Other than some freshman introductory classes, classes will be small. Yes, you can double major or major and minor, you just have to take the required classes to satisfy the requirements. I guess you have to decide whether you want to apply to the College, or the School of engineering.

I’m taking some relatively advanced CS courses and haven’t had anything under 100 kids.

Thanks @ricck1‌ 1‌and @integer‌ , I am assuming you’re majoring in cs at columbia seas, here is another question: is taking a chemistry class(es) required for you? (Considering its a part of the core.) Thanks again.

I transferred so I have no idea

You can major in CS at the College or SEAS. There are many ways and courses you can choose to complete the core. Chemistry is not required.
