some questions

I’m interested in transferring to UNC and I have a few questions:

 1. Hows greek life? How is the party life?

I want to major in business…Does UNC have a b-school or do you just choose the major? I read this on their transfer admission site:
“Sophomore transfers enroll in the College of Arts and Sciences and are not admitted to specific programs in their major. Your choice of intended major plays no role in our admission decision. Junior transfers are admitted directly to their degree programs, with a few exceptions.”
whats this mean exactly?

How are the dorms and facilities? and…can you live at a frat house your first semester there?

Thanks if anybody can help me.

Answer to #2: Yes, UNC does have a business school. It's supposedly pretty good from what I've heard. For non-transfer students, they fulfill the prerequisites for the business school (as well as most of the General College requirements) in their freshman & sophomore years, apply in December of their sophomore year, get admitted (hopefully), and are in the b-school for their junior and senior years. If you're transferring in as a sophomore, then you can apply and graduate college as usual in 4 years. If you're transferring in as a junior and apply, then you would have to graduate in 5 years, since b-school requires 2 years.

The paragraph you quoted above just means that you have to wait until you're a junior to be admitted into any degree program (whether it's business school or biology or asian studies or anything). This applies to transfers and non-transfers.
