some quick questions regarding the app.

hey, i’m applying EA to stanford but haven’t started the app. yet and after looking at the app., my questions are:

I hear people saying that you should send in most of your stuff together, however, I’m a bit confused by this. Let’s say I submit Form 1 online tomorrow. I then give my teachers Forms 4 and 5 telling them to postmark before Nov.1, same with Form 3 for the counselors. I then work on Form 2, the essays, for as long as I want until Nov. 1. It seems to me that everything will be sent in at different times.

My family has unique circumstances and this kind of overlaps into financial aid as well, should I describe this to Stanford in a separate piece of paper? Should I also incorporate a part of it into my essay(s)?

Stanford says they only count the “official” standardized test scores aka has to be sent from CollegeBoard. So does this mean that when you report your scores on the app., it doesn’t matter if you write down your lowest scores even if they WILL be higher? (just took SAT yesterday, did much better)

thanks

It would be almost impossible to send all your stuff together, but the more the better. Send in form 1 asap so they can open a file for you and file information as it comes. Also, be sure to get everything in before the deadline.

Unique circumstances is the 2nd to the last section of the stanford online application, where you can upload a document so if youre applying online i suggest you upload something. About financial aid, i (not really too sure, just giving what i would do) would somewhat mention it in the form, but the financial aid application is another process, so they cant really grant you based on the form.

A lot of your scores will be sent in with your official transcript i believe, so I would try and find out which ones and send in the ones you want that arent included with the transcript. If you havent already, try and send your most recent sat score (if you didnt put stanford in top 4 free that collegeboard does) and i think theyll do the mixing/matching for you.

hope this helped
