Hey guys, it's Chris here. Anyways, I have a few quick questinons.
1. Does Michigan require a MidYear report? I've already been accepted and the website says I only need to submit a end of the year report, can anybody verify this? Also.. when I was accepted, I was an A- student... I think I will get a B- in AP Physics, this shouldn't hurt me too much, right?

I took a class at a community college and ended up getting a C+ for a semester long Calc III class... U of M isn't going to see this because I'm not planning on sending it. I plan on retaking this at U of M, it shouldn't be a big deal right?

Now on to the big topic at hand... SENIORITIS. I've always had a problem with laziness but I just feel like this year is pointless and I just want to move onto college! Anybody have any tips on how to overcome this?

THANKS GUYS!

UMich does not require a midyear report, unless they specifically request for you to send it. However, you can feel free to send it anyway. … UMich won’t rescind your acceptance or anything unless you REALLY tank. I’m talking a few B’s and a couple of C’s popping up simultaneously.

No, it won’t be a big deal. It can be like you never took it. Though if you did send it, UMich may accept it for credit since it is a passing grade, and it won’t affect your GPA. Though, if you got a C+, maybe retaking it would be smart anyway because you may be unprepared for the next level.

As for senioritis… See #1. I suffered from major senioritis and I regret absolutely nothing. Like I said, just don’t let your grades go to absolute crap and you’re fine. Relax and enjoy your accepted status, this is the last time you’ll have the chance to not take school as seriously as you normally would, so just have fun with it. Once you’ve already been accepted, the year (rightfully so) does become rather pointless. Just do well on your AP exams, that’s the only even semi-important thing left in high school at your stage.

The people of CollegeConfidential might ostracize me for saying that, but it’s what I believe to be the truth. :)

^Completely agree with everything said above, it is 100% spot on.

You can send the CC transcript any time after you enroll here, for the credit. If you got a C+ you might really struggle with the same class here, so you might want the credit, or take it again if you’re going into math. I know it’ll be hard to convince yourself of this, but maybe look at doing well as preparing for college…Yeah, it’s not really true but…I dunno, think of some reward as motivation if you can get decent grades. You don’t wanna slack too much and then those habits continue next year.
