Some Quick Questions

Suppose I know that I'm going to get deferred. When can I expect to receive the notification on WA?

Also, I sent in my app. on Oct. 28. WA said that they received everything by Nov. 11 (I did ED and all docs. were postmarked before Nov. 1). Will I receive my decision this Thursday?

Finally, does Michigan sent out rejections if to ED applicants?

Thanks!

no, they dont send our rejections or acceptances/deferrals. i have no idea when you’ll see it maybe this week but i’m betting the thursday two weeks from now. A lot of people who submitted much earlier then you (and me, i submitted oct 30) have yet to get decisions back. So I’m thinking this thursday is for the oct 1o-20 group and the next batch goes out to the right before the deadline group.

but then again, it depends on your stats and geographic location. this is all guessing

good luck! and why are you so sure you’ll get deferred? You never know

^ Deferrals are sent out randomly. Acceptances are sent out periodically every other thursday. No they do not usually send out rejections to ED applicants, but that does not mean that it is not mean its not possible.

Thanks for the answers! But, I now have another question.

Are deferrals sent out around the same time that decisions are released?

I believe most deferrals are sent out after both the rejections and the acceptances – last year, all the people I knew who got deferred found out on the Saturday before Christmas, via snail-mail. And by that points we had already heard from people who were accepted/rejected.
