^ Please respond directly to my point.

2070 here at Cornell. Hannibal, if you dont have the scores you are convinced everyone needs for the Ivys, don’t apply. but stop misinforming everyone plz.

He does it on purpose. He has dozens of posts disseminating misinformation. I have discussed this with him via Personal Messaging, but he maintains a crude and ignorant pattern of behavior.

^ Hannibal, respond to my point in post #22.

This is quite possibly one of the most idiotic posts I’ve ever seen.

Hummm…Hannibal, I was quite enjoying this discussion until you entered with your dogmatic posturing. We heard you. Moving on… And please, please stop the insults.

College decisions aren’t just made using one cut-off, especially at the ivies.

You said that Ivy League schools don’t accept people with 2100 on the SAT. The schools’ data render your claim factually inaccurate.

There aren’t enough recruited athletes to render the data true if everyone else has 2200+. Moreover, your original post did not leave open the possibility for any acceptances for those with 2100 or lower.

^^ *Wrong.

10char

^ I have no idea what you are saying. Please write more clearly.

hey limabeans u said that a half ride is different from a half tuition wavier. Whats the difference?

shouldn’t Hannibalxx be banned? ■■■■■■ will ■■■■■ on…

@OP man i wish I had your ECs

Youuu splelled Havard rong…

Dear OP, Harvard is spelled with H, A, R, V, A, R, D.

A 2100 on your SATs does not spell imminent doom, however it severely damages your chances at HYPSM, though you should apply anyways as it can’t hurt. I also get the sense of grade inflation from your test scores, so to me your only non-reaches are USC,
UCLA, and maybe UC Berkley if you are in state.

Honestly, my high school has a pretty bad case of grade inflation, but its mostly due to my public school being horrible, and teachers being bad teachers. Also, you could’ve worked hard in class, but gotten lazy in preparing for the AP test, knowing it doesn’t really count for much. Which is why my scores aren’t CC status, but at my HS, they’re pretty rare, and good. Probably one of the first 4’s in ap chem in school history (valedictorian got a two last year)

Even if grades are inflated, your rank in your HS is pretty good. But due to your sub-par SAT for Ivy League standards, it will make it a little difficult. Whereas you would be low reaches for HYP with a 2300, you are now a high reach with the 2100. Take the SAT and the ACT in October/September

Your EC’s are wonderful, due to your heavy involvement as well as long term commitment. And your couple leadership positions help enormously as well.
Awards in those EC’s prove your heavy involvement.

750s on the SAT II’s are bad percentile wise, but anything between a 750-800 on any test is a great score, and will not hurt you.

Essays are always important.

Work experience as an Asian, especially at a professional level are high points of your app.

Your chances will become amazing at getting into those schools as your SAT or ACT becomes better.
Really, really focus on your SAT or ACT. That is the only weakness I really see. You have great potential!

Good luck!
