Some schools don't accept rush reports?

I've been looking at the policies of my colleges to make sure they accept rush reports just in case, and couldn't find anything. Is it the kind of thing where if they don't say anything about it, then they'll accept them? I did a quick search through CC, and couldn't find anything except for a few specific schools...

How can I find out whether or not my colleges will accept rush reports?

I'm sure most colleges accept rush reports. The score report isn't different, it's just sent faster. Unless I'm wrong and someone wants to tell me what an idiot I am. If you're really that worried, call the school. If it's not in the policy it's not that important.

Call them.

I will note, though, that whenever I've seen a rush report mentioned on a college website it said something to the effect of, "Don't get them! Waste of money!!"

I am curious as to what your situation could possibly be that you'd need a rush sent?

$26, right?

It's painful.

grimaces I know...but I was talking with my dad today, and he said it would be a better idea to wait until I got my EA decision before spending any money on scores or application fees, which means rush reports, because regular reporting won't get there in two weeks.

Wouldn't it be better to spend $9 per score report than $26 for rush reports? At least you can keep your options open even if you don't decide to attend EA. Who knows.

But if you're really worried, call. Don't want you to get rejected because of some idiot online. :) Though I'm sure it's not that important, otherwise they would have specified it in their policies.

Yeah, but still, it's not even guaranteed to get there in FOUR weeks, the site says anywhere from 3-5 weeks, so I don't want to take any chances.

Haha okay, thanks for your help :)

Many schools get the scores almost immediately. I sent mine to a school last week (a day or two before the application deadline) and got an email the next day saying that school had them. Contact your school specifically to ask if rush reports are necessary, in my experience most do download scores much more often than collegeboard would like you to think.

often you have to write the scores on the app itself, so if they want to review the scores early they can look at what you put down, they probably want an official report just to make sure you are not lying

Ohhhhhhh okay that makes sense...

so do SATs scores absolutely have to be in by the January 1st deadline?
