I recently got my college decisions and I wasn't so successful with them. Now I am thinking of taking a gap year. But then I think I might completely slack of if I take a gap year so then I thought maybe I could just enroll in a local college here but still retake my SAT's and then apply again as a freshman.
Now I don't know how colleges would view this? If I enroll in a college would I have to apply as a transfer after studying there for 1 year for can I still apply from the college ( before the completion of the 1st year there ) as a freshman? Will that be considered as a good thing or bad ? Or how would that work out ?
I am talking about all the top tier college in the US .. the ivy's, stanford and all

bumpity bump :)

Most colleges won’t allow you to apply as a freshman if you have been enrolled full time at any other college anywhere in the world. Amherst allows transfers to apply as freshman but you should know that ivies will NEVER let you do that.

alright so its a complete gap year or some local uni ok thanks
