Some UC transfer questions..!

Hey all!

So I've got a few questions and concerns regarding transferring to a UC from a CC.

I originally attended SFSU, where I commuted from about an hour away. I'm a comp science major, but due to laziness and stressful commuting conditions I got a C- in calc 1 and an F in calc 2. But I passed everything else with a C or higher, and my gpa (with the F) is something like 2.2ish.

This year I transferred to a CC and I'm doing well here, where I got a 3.5 in the fall and will likely get a 4.0 this semester.

I'm unsure of what to do to get rid of the F though. I know I can retake it at SFSU over the summer or something. But at 1800 dollars for the class and a few hundred more for transportation I really doubt that I'd be able to afford that and class in the fall.

And if I attend this CC until spring of 12, I am coming dangerously close to the 80 unit limit to transfer to a UC.

Im a bit confused and worried...any help?

Also, the calc 2 is a pre req for phys 2 class that I would have to tale to be out by Spring 12…

I have a similar situation
Ucsb freshman year I got an f in stats due to family issues gpa 2.94, then I went to a ccc by my home with a 3.94 gpa. I am hoping that UCI will take me for fall 11 without the math… I got into UCR already … Does anyone else know if the uc will consider you with pretty much all igetc classes done except math?

Good luck, I hope someone answers us!
