My first choice is Georgetown (I was accepted early SFS), but I've gotten into many other good schools. My top four as of today (not in any particular order) are Stanford, Princeton, Georgetown, and Emory. I was wondering if you guys could help me compare Gtown to the rest of the schools. FA is also a big determining factor in my college decision.

I would be torn too. The special thing about Gtown is that it is concentrated in IR undergrad, whereas Princeton focuses on grad students, obviously because the Woodrow Wilson school is a grad school. I wouldn’t choose Stanford if I was majoring in IR either, just because of its location and weak alumni network in the foreign relations area.

But, if you are not 100% sure of your major, you should consider Stanford or Princeton, because they offer a wide range of curriculum and have top facilities.

Gtown is definitely poorer than the two, but they make it up with more advising and undergrad focus. Apparently, many have turned down HYPS for SFS.
