people in my school are just the opposite- they say they've been rejected/haven't heard anything yet even though they've been accepted to some schools.

People are just soooo secretive :(

Oh yeah but someone did say she got a 1568 on her SAT :p

god i love this game that some of you play.

some people lie about their acceptances, yes. And some people even say that they got rejected when they, in fact, got accepted.

but when they don't lie, you don't believe them either.

My little bro recently got into UCLA. His stats weren't the greatest either. Some of his classmates were envious and asked him to prove his acceptance to ucla. Of course, he didn't show them jack.... because it's none of their business.

Don't be obsessed with what others say. You'll just become more jealous and even hateful. You shouldn't make it your job to find out who's lying and who's not.

S*** happens in the college admissions lottery process.

A friend said that he got a letter from UCB that said that they wanted him to go there, even though he hadn't applied. He said that he had done some science research thing there over the summer or something. I don't think that he'd lie about something like that.

this kid in my school said he got into harvard.
1200's SAT, with 3.0 GPA.
according to him, he got recommendations from cambodian king and prime minister... LOL

To add to the comment about the Regent's interviews - they told eveyone there that they had been admitted to Berkeley. So some people already know - however - there were not that many there in LA.
