Somebody reassure me

I'm so depressed right now, I was an idiot and didn't apply to any safety schools or schools with rolling decision. I just got rejected from Duke and waitlisted at Rice. Wharton is far and away my top choice but if I got rejected from those schools, how am I going to get into the best business school in the world?

in May, some company (i can’t think of the name) releases the names of colleges that are still accepting applications-if things don’t work out for you at Penn, perhaps you could try applying to one of those other schools (or try community college, peace corps, etc.)… hopefully things will you go your way, though!

Uhhh, I’m not going to community college. But thanks for the advice. Now, another question, my dad went to Columbia, as did two of my aunts and two uncles. I am unofficially number 1 in my small class of 30, I have a 34 ACT and great recommendations. I thought I would be good for Duke or Rice, but I didn’t get into either. Is this indicative of future decisions to come?
The rest of my schools are Amherst, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Middlebury, Wharton, Vanderbilt, Williams, Yale

ah, you made it seem as though you only applied to duke, rice, and penn, which is probable why arachnophobia suggested colleges that have later application dates

don’t worry, you’re bound to get into one of your schools

ok, well now that I’ve seen your stats… i honestly can’t see you getting rejected everywhere-those are definitely competitive stats. I’m sure you’ll get into one, if not more, of those schools. good luck!

I was also under the impression those were the only schools you applied to. You’re fine :)
