Someone else from my school applies EA, what about me?

My school hasn’t sent anyone to the college in question for quite a few years, but I know people have applied. If someone from my school with better GPA applies Early Action, would that hurt me a lot as an RD applicant? My school doesn’t rank. I have probably the highest test scores, if that means anything at all.
Just wondering. (too late to send assassins, anyway haha)

Most colleges have no problem taking multiple kids from a school in the same year. I remember one information session where the dean of admissions recalled accepting all 6 kids who applied from a high school somewhere in Colorado - and then rejecting more than 2 dozen applicants from the same school the following year.

If you’re a strong applicant, it shouldn’t matter who applies EA. Maybe if there were over a dozen kids applying early, an RD student would face longer odds, but your case doesn’t even begin to approach such extremes.
