Hey, this is new to us…and from my experience the summer advisers aren’t the greatest.

Here’s what I’m looking at:

Math 31L
Spanish 76
Writing 20 - Arguing for Revolution
Ethics 100D

My thought process:

I’m not interested in Math at all and just want to get my 2 reqs out of the way as quickly and as painlessly as possible. I had Calc AB this year and expect a 3-4 on the AP. My Math ACT was 34 so they said that I should do 31L…? I dunno.

I’ve had 5 years of cruddy high school Spanish. I’m expecting a 3-4 on the language AP. I’m just worried about some kind of impossible reading comp or long oral presentation final that could potentially kill my grade. I definitely don’t want to take 2, so either 63, 76, or a 100 level? 76 seemed to be a good compromise. They also said I might be able to switch in the first week or something. What do you think?

I got the first window so they said take a Writing 20 and not a seminar this semester. This one seemed most interesting by the description.

I’m looking to major in Philosophy or something in the humanities. I also have an interest in the Ethics certificate program…this is its introductory class…plus…all the intro to Philosophy classes seem to be full.

Thanks in advance for the input. I’m lost.
