Someone from Cornell? I really love it.

Can someone tell something bout Cornell

It’s in Ithaca.

No really, in all seriousness, there are 24,000 topics here in this forum about Cornell, and there are a lot of people here on CC who would be happy to answer a direct question. But there’s also a ton of information available about Cornell. So, what specifically do you want to know? Ask that and someone can help you. :)

Cornell likes people who can research topics such as “something about Cornell”

Cornell has a Wikipedia page.

Such as, how can i get accepted into Cornell?

Academically you could be in the top 3 in your class, have 8+ APs (all 5s), 34 or better ACT, 800s on each SAT and SATII part, take dual enrollment classes at university and have an unweighted gpa of 4.0. Then you could also be a varsity captain or have been a class leader or founder of multiple groups at school and in the community, work for a non profit, and intern with an aerospace company. Then have excellent admissions essays and outstanding teacher recommendations.

Oh wait, those things didn’t get my S accepted… Never mind, I’ve got nothing…

Your question is, to put it bluntly, uninformed and unanswerable. There is nothing you can do to “get accepted”. There are plenty of things you can do to Not get accepted, but there is no answer for your question. Cornell accepts great students and turns away great students - that’s what happens when only 1 in 10 applicants gets accepted. If you are a top student, the only thing you can do that actually statistically may improve your chances is to apply ED.

Hope your essays are better thought through than your posts here. I’d be sure to apply to some safety schools too.

^ I’m really sorry your son wasn’t admitted. Cornell’s loss. GREAT POST!

To the OP: email cuambassadors@cornell.edu to get a student’s perspective about what Cornell is looking for, what Cornellians do, and why they chose Cornell!

^^
I’m confused. I thought she meant that her son got in without those things when I first read it, but on second glance it looks like he had all those and was still rejected.
