someone help me with my first year schedule...pretty please!

Okay, so right now I don't even know if I want to do MCB (neurobiology) or psych. I don't know if I want to choose one of them to major in, major in both, or major in one and minor in the other.

Issues:
My senior year of high school I took a bunch of APs and depending upon if I passed the AP tests (I think I did fairly well on them but who knows), I could potentially get a lot of credit at Cal. If I passed these tests (incl. Bio, English Lit, and Psych), would I not even have to take the intro classes (like psych for my major)? And...I haven't gone to CalSO yet, but would you recommend just signing up for classes that I know FOR SURE I will be taking since I don't know my scores yet?

Also...would I have to take a calc class in college if I got As in both of the calc II and III (C/D) college courses I took in high school and got a 5 on my calc AB course? My dad is totally convinced that I don't have to take a single calc class, but I'm not sure that Berkeley or the med schools I might be applying to later on would agree. notice that I said calc, not stats because I know that if I major in psych I would have to take stats

One last thing...since I'm not sure I want to be pre-med or do MCB, should I just take Chem 1A just in case? I'm worried because that and a seminar are basically the only two classes I'm sure I'm taking as of now.

They pretty much answer all your questions in CalSO, so I'd suggest relaxing. If you can't (and you probably can't) make sure you really know how to use telebears.

The calc tests pass you out of math 1a and 1b, but I'm pretty sure you still need math 53 which is multivariable calculus. I highly suggest not going straight to 53 unless you like crying, libraries, and crying in libraries. This goes for 54 as well.

I'm an EECS kid so I don't know much about your pre-med stuff, but like I said, they will sort this out for you in CalSO with patient counselors. Until then, relax. Get a tan. You'll be instantly sexier than 90% of Cal students.
