Hi guys, i'm a sophomore right now &our first semester report cards are about to come.
I'm horrfied because i am receiving a D.......
D!! D!!!!! I've never even seen a C in my life and now its telling me i might even have D on my reportcard. HELP ME
I have all A's in the other classses too.
The math i'm taking is Algebra 2Honors. I've aceing all other honors but math. I'll basically have around 67.9%
I'm literally about to kill myself......why? yes i'm asian
I'm wondering, do you guys think itd be possible for teachers to change the first quarter grade as second quarter starts? I've basically havn't been paying much attention espically in first period but if i focus and change my atitude, is it possible? fjlskjflksjlksejrlkewj My teacher says shes never done that before. Is she hinting I can't bring my D to a C in the end?

Well, how did it happen?

Well basically her tests are legitly 85% of her class. And my test average turned out to be around D…
SIGH i don’t know what to do ):

OK wait…when does the 1st semester end? Do you have a D for the semester, or this quarter? Are you going to have this class next semester too? I don’t understand what you mean “getting my teacher to change the first quarter grade as 2nd quarter starts”.

Calm down.

I don’t understand what you mean by “help you.” What do you want us to help you with? You have a D. Alright. So what can we do about it? Are you looking for study tips? Because I highly doubt that there is any way that you can raise that D at this point in the marking period, but maybe, if you work harder, you can raise your grade for the rest of the year.

Well you should have entered this process with a positive attitude in the first place. I don’t think it’s possible to change a first quarter grade, I’m positive those are set in stone once they come out on report cards. I think all you can do is just move on and start focusing on second quarter. Also, a 67.9% is an F at my school, so at least you didn’t fail.

1st semester ends this month of jan. &I’m receiving D as of now.
I’m asking help, meaning advices or tips. Should i continue on taking algebra2 honors? What would you do if you were on my boat? What i mean by changing the grade is. Apparently it’s possble for teachers to change the students first quarter grade after it’s already ended. My goal was basically to stay in honors and work my ass off in that class to recieve high A. &In hope, I wish she’ll see that i’ve worked hard and she’ll left me off with that 2% in the beginning of the class. She does this with here calc students but she hasnt done this to any of her algebra2 students. That’s what i mean
