Can someone help me find a school that matches these stats?

Transfer student from well-respected honors program in physics.
Don't know any college grades yet.
High School GPA: 3.4
ACT: 35
SAT: Verbal 800, Math 780
ECs: Fencing, Rugby, Quiz Bowl.

I'm changing my major to Anthropology. Looking for a school with at least moderate respect. Large research universtity. In NYC/New Jersey.

I'd really appreciate possibilities. I'm looking at completely different schools than I looked for in high school, so I'm starting from scratch.

If you are recruitable for fencing, then Columbia would be a great bet for you. They don't take many transfers, but their fencing team is extremely good.

Otherwise, NYU, Cornell (NY but not NYC), Rutgers...They are not many research U's in the immediate area. I don't think Princeton usually takes transfers.

Thanks, but do you think I could get in to NYU?

Well, your test scores are great. I think the key would be to maintain as high a GPA as possible in the college you are in right now, to override the hs grades, which might seem a little low in comparison to your standardized testing.

NYU also encourages all applicants to submit the results of two SAT II subject tests. Is money going to be an issue because finanical aid is extremely limited (until recently was not available) for transfer students
