Someone please chance an international! Will chance back!

I'm absolutely worried about my chances at getting into most of my colleges.. I'm so worried that I'm aiming too high :( But the truth is, I'm not good at taking the SAT's - I've never done anything like them before, and I don't exactly have tons of time to practice because of my course work.. It's been a tough two years.. but, without further ado:

SAT I: 1870
SAT II: Bio 550 and Lit 540

Senior and junior year course load: International Baccalaureate: HL English, History and Geography, SL Math, Spanish and Biology --> hoping for a 38 predicted

Freshman and sophomore course load: IGCSE's (British system) -> did really well

Rank: N/A, but class size is extremely small - about 9 students in the IB class - I wonder if this is bad?

Major extracurriculars:
1. Theatre (been in plays throughout high school, mainly leads)
2. Art (had one of my pieces showcased for an environmental cause)
3. Environment (created a major club in my school for the environment)
4. Varsity Field Hockey (Goal Keeper)
5. Student Government (I've held top positions throughout high school, currently headgirl in my school)
Volunteer work: covered by CAS requirement in IB, I have over 100 hours now

Work experience: Prominent law firm in Kenya

Strengths: 1. essays - I have NO problem whatsoever with writing college essays.. This will definitely be the best part of my app. 2. Leadership (I've been a leader in almost everything I'be done) and 3. I've been in the most rigorous school systems so I'm constantly challenging myself

Recommendations:
One from world bank employee who's my mentor - stellar
Teacher recommendations - also stellar

Applying to (In order of which I like best)
Georgetown (SFS)
Brown University
Northeastern University
Wellesley college
Stetson university
American University
George Washington University
New York University

Everything except for your academics looks good. I’m going to be honest with you… you probably shouldn’t waste the money on Brown, and I doubt you will get accepted to NYU. I don’t know enough about the other colleges to say.

hate to break it to you, but all those schools are pretty big reaches except maybe Stetson and Wellesly. On top of that you’re an international applicant, which makes it harder to get into these schools. Please chance back  http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1419574-chance-me-top-colleges-will-chance-back.html

I think you’re a strong applicant for some colleges in your list, but your test scores are low. Have you thought about retaking them? If you don’t think you’ll do well, perhaps you’ll benefit from test-optional schools. Mount Holyoke, for example, is an excellent school that’s test optional for everyone except home-schooled students.

All of those schools are reaches except American, Stetson, and Wellesley

Chance me

:(Can anyone suggest colleges that will be perfect matches for me then?? Seriously, everything else is great on my application except my test scores-_- and I don’t think there’s time to take them again (I didn’t sign up for the december SAT) … And I thought Wellesley would be one of the harder colleges to get in to, given it’s alumni…?

Thanks everyone, really appreciate it!:)

PS: @Guitar500 would you advise me to go test optional at NYU??

Bump 10 char - anyone else??

Why don’t you apply to other women colleges, e.g. Bryn Mawr and Mount Holyoke? You fall in the SAT middle 50% of those two :)
