so basically, i visited newhouse a few months ago and fell in love with it. i really want to pursue a career in writing or producing for television/film, so obviously newhouse seems like a perfect fit for me. here's my stats:

UW GPA: 3.6
class rank: top 15% (80/542)
SAT: 1980
ACT: 29
Honors Courses (since freshman year): 8
AP's (since freshman year): 2

class rigor is kind of pathetic, i know... although to be honest i come from a fairly rigorous high school.

Senior Year Courses:
AP Psych
AP Literature
Broadcast Communications
Filmmaking
Creative Writing
Accelerated Analysis
Accelerated Physics

EC's:
national honors society- two years
french honors society- four years
mentor for freshman students
volunteer for children with special needs
spent about 20 hours last year working as a teacher's aid (basically just edited fifth grade students' short stories, helped them with their research projects, etc.)
JV tennis for two years
camp counselor last summer- worked about 30 hours altogether
two summers ago, i spent three weeks at a program at yale taking courses on film and writing- hopefully that will stand out!

i had an interview for newhouse about two months ago... i was pretty nervous. i'm not sure it went over too well; i was asked some very difficult questions that required me to think out of the box. but who knows?

lemme know what ya think!
