I like in Hawaii, and am currently a freshman. I would start my application this fall for the 2015-2016 school year, and I've been pretty stressed out! I'm worried I don't have enough extracurriculars, good enough grades etc, and I want to make sure I do everything I can this year to really increase my chances, especially because applying to junior year is difficult because of a limited amount of spots, so if you guys could help me and tell me what areas I need to improve on, i would really really appreciate it.

I have a 3.879 GPA (unweighted), i am currently in one honors class and next year will be in two honors and one AP.

I take piano lessons, art classes, volunteer weekly at the local animal shelter, started a Free the Children charity group at my school, and participate in the pottery and hiking clubs. I am doing a two week home-stay and immersion program in france this summer (in which I will stay with a french family and take intensive french courses every day). I also am volunteering in the building of replica of an ancient hawaiian voyaging canoe, which will be taken out on the ocean on a long trip to replicate the journey of ancient hawaiians from Marquesas to Hawaii. I have done 4 boundary waters canoe area (BWCA) trips, in which for 2 weeks I am fully and completely immersed in the wilderness with a group of girls, carrying only the basic necessities for survival.

I haven't taken any standardizde testing yet, I will be doing that in October but I have high hopes because I am currently enrolled in tutoring for that, and testing is one of my strong suits (when I took the SSATs before to get into my current school, I was in the 98th percentile)

I also currently am enrolled at a pretty prestigious high school, it is the same one that President Obama attended (I'm not sure if that fact will help me at all hahah)

I am applying to deerfield (top choice), andover, exeter, choate, lawrenceville, promfret and choate probably. I'm still looking into other schools as well, though.
