Looking at Bapson as more of a stretch school, but have always wanted to go there for business since my dad graduated from here. Would love to know my chances of getting accepted.
I am a white male who grew in a good area and go to a private catholic high school. Take mid level hardness classes with a GPA OF 3.6 and have a SAT score of 1230. For extra curricular I was a part of a video club that help produce videos for the school during sophomore year. Started an online business freshmen through junior year and have done a lot of community service through the last three years in high school. During senior year next year I will be joining the football team and a possible bussiness club. Would be great to see what my possible chances are of getting in. Thank you all.
Do a great job on your essays, have at least one good interview on campus showing both your interest in and knowledge about the school and apply early decision if this is your first choice. Also see if your Dad can assist in any way. My guess is if you do these things, you will have a better chance than you think! In numbers I would guess at least 50 .50 chance. Hope this helps.
Emphasize your extracurriculars and your “online business”. I would say the essay is a very important part of the admissions process at Babson. Just talk about how you always had an interest in business at a young age and you started the online business to further pursue the interest. Also talk about how Babson can help you attain your goals as a businessman and person. Most essays I’ve read from my classmates at Babson are pretty BS and hippy. Talk about how you will change the world through whatever business you do and you’ll get in. The hard part is your SAT score. Since you’re an white male at a private catholic high school, they expect your standardized test scores to be above average. If you have good AP scores to back up your academics, that would definitely help you. I know people that have very low standardized test scores and GPA that attend Babson but they are mostly minorities and from low income families. Good luck!
