"Freshman applicants with community college credits: Any student who has earned 12 or more semester hours of college credit following graduation from high school is considered a transfer applicant and cannot apply to UF as a freshman."

So does that mean I'll get denied because I took 4 dual-enrollment courses? I just don't understand why they would have such a stringent policy with such a low number of hours, I don't believe transferring useless credits should consider one a transfer applicant...

You need to check because it says “following graduation from high school”. Dual-enrollment would not be FOLLOWING high school, it would be during high school. I would call and ask.

I guess you’re right, I just read it as meaning: after graduation, you will have 12 or more credit hours. But that makes more sense. Thanks.

Yep, OhioMom2 is correct, it seems. Your quote refers to early college or similar programs. You’re not fully enrolled in college, so you are a regular applicant. Most of the time this transfer admission would be for students who earn AA’s in high school.

Maybe one of you can help me out here… As far as I know, receipt of materials past 12/31 was not going to be considered for admissions. So, if my college transcripts weren’t going to be available until after that date, it should have no bearing on my decision, correct?
