I'm also an Indian girl and will major in either neuroscience (Emory) or premed/biology (Oxford)

If you are interested in some recent stats, my son was waitlisted at Emory, with a 2300 SAT and unweighted 3.7, with 14 AP courses, top 5% of his class.

But he did not have much in the way of ECs.

I think you have a decent shot, because your ECs are pretty good.

Based upon the experiences of many kids I know, I would apply to Washington University and University of Michigan. They seem to be a bit easier to get into than many of the other top schools.

Another “trick” is to apply to some top OOS state universities, such as Berkeley, UCLA, Virginia, Michigan, UNC. I believe your chances of admission is increased, because they covet the higher out of state tuition.

Thank you for your advice! Did your son apply to Emory or Oxford at Emory?
