Pg. 370-371 BB (ver.2) #10-12

much appreciated for those people who choose to help me… sorry but i couldn’t find the explanations of these problems online or in the book. thanks

i dont have a book with me, would you mind typing it up and include a drawing if it’s given?

(√x^2-t^2)=2t-x
^(whole thing is square rooted)
If x and t are positive numbers that satisfy the equations above, what is the value of x/t?

this one has a lot of diagrams…

this one also has a lot of diagrams… XD

same with this one… :(

In a certain school, there are k classes with n students in each class. If a total of p pencils are distributed equally among these students, how many pencils are there for each student?

has a diagram…

square both sides

x^2-t^2=4t^2-4tx+x^2
(x^2 on both sides can cancel each other…move 4t^2 to the left side)

-5t^2=-4tx (cancel -t )

5t=4x

x/t=5/4

#pencils/#students=p/kn

Page 367, #3: (C)
–> explanation: f(x)=f(-x) –> f(1)=f(-1); f(2)=f(-2). Only diagram C fits since in this diagram f(1)=f(-1)=f(2)=f(-2)=0

Page 369, #8: (B)
–> explanation: f(x+5)=f(5) –> this function has a portion (the part you so see in the figure from x=0 to x=5) repeated. Then from x=0 to x=5 the figure intersected the x-axis 9 times (maybe this is a bit hard to understand, you can draw it out to see those points)

Page 370, #10: (E)
–> explanation: k = f(3) = 4 –> g(k) = g(f(3)) = g(4) = 5

The final one is not so difficult so you should try  g’luck

i have one too!! Question 15, BB version 2. Test number 4. Section 6. Regarding the triangle with the diagram. Explanation needed because frankly, i don’t get the BB one.
