Someone please help, what do I do next?

okay I just got rejected from all the schools that I hoped to go to, so now I'm going to end up going to a school that I know I'm not going to be happy at. How exactly do I transfer to another school, how long do I have to be there for and do they only look at college grades?

I'm sorry for posting this here instead of the transfer forum

Granduate from high school, go to college for a semester. After your first semester, fill out transfer applications and send in all required materials.Note that most colleges require that you spend a year at your current institution before you can be eligible to transfer. Chances are, they will look at both high school and college grades.

On a more in-depth note, you should really evaluate yourself and your applications. What was weak about them? Was it grades, test scores, or EC's? All three? Make it a point to improve upon it in college and show those adcoms that you really mean business. If it was really bad, you may want to wait two years. If it was not so bad, then work on your apps and try again next year.

Is highschool GPA a very big deal? In its own right vs. compared with college GPAs?

"I know I'm not going to be happy"

Change that first. What's the quote... "in your mind you can make a heaven out of hell and a hell of heaven"? Something like that anyway. In case all else fails, there's no reason why you should be unhappy this time in your life. :) Keep a positive attitude.

Other than that, follow the previous poster's advice.

Oh, and, I think after so many college credits, the transfer school will no longer consider your hs gpa.

The reason I didn't get accepted to the schools I wanted was because of my grades as an underclassmen, but I'm pretty sure that my grades in college will be near perfect as they have been during my upperclassmen years of high school. So what I want to know is how long I will have to stay in a school before I can transfer to another one?

well where did you get into?
