I went back to check on my UC application, and I just realized I left out all the ECs and work experience since 2008. And I've worked around 30 hours/week since 2008-2010 !!

Do you guys think it would make a difference if I submit this changes to all the school I apply? Or should I not even bother to do so!?!?

thank you so much for your help...

it would make a difference although i don’t exactly know how much at this point. Most admission officer have been combing applications for a while now and i don’t know how you would update them on forgotten E.C/work

I mean ESP for ucla and cal…

try emailing both admissions offices explaining your situation

prolly a little too late at this point though

If anything, it is probably better if you don’t alert them to the fact you can not fill out a simple application properly. Especially where they give you plenty of time and an update to make sure it is correct. I think they expect small errors, but completely leaving off two sections.

What major and GPA? That will certainly influence it.

3.6 gpa linguistic

I don’t know about Cal, but you’re about the avg for a linguistics transfer (actually your GPA is slightly higher -----> [Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2009 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof09_mjr.htm))…

Damn… no ECs at all? Maybe they will see that and think it’d odd, so they’ll read your personal statement and that could push you through. @ UCLA, the linguistics major has a very high admit rate.

It does have some ec but before 2008 and my essay stated some ec and job experience too so hopefully… U guys dun think it’s necessary to email them rite??

Haha sorry I had to do that bcuz he is unusually inactive today on these boards.

As to your question:
Honestly I would call the schools now and tell them that, particularly because work experience is a valued EC to the UCs.

I agree with Oliver.

I’d also like to say that if you don’t get into where you want to go, appeal and include all of your work/EC’s and describe why you didn’t include it in the first place. If you write a very earnest and polite, mature letter, the school will probably go easy on ya.

Appeals rarely succeed, but in your case it would be worth it to try if you don’t get in, OP. You seem to have a very legit reason that an appeals board would take into consideration.

Honestly i agree with Uchopeful , truth is you missed 2 sections on an application how do you think that would look. It clearly states where to put it as well. You can try and appeal but if you include all the work there and say you forgot on the original application it just makes you look foolish.

thanks guys, I got what you guys are saying,

I didnt miss the whole two sections of it… But i filled it out as it was between 2006(graduated HS) - 2008. But I left out the whole 2008-2010.

So there are still some EC’s but just not most “up to date” and recent…

just have my finger cross… I am gonna try to give them a call tomorrow and see what the best thing to do will be…
