The reason I really want some input on these courses is because these two courses for the first 2 weeks have been relatively simple. Sure, there has been over a dozen pages of reading each day in each of them, but overall we haven't done much work in them other than a few simple worksheets and projects. This is actually bad cus ive been putting these 2 courses on my lower priority list and have been concentrating on my core AP classes more...which rhymes.

Basically I don't want to be slapped in the face unexpectedly if psych and stats suddenly become more difficult. Any input or advice on things such as how to prepare for tests or how they are like would be much much mucho muy appreciated and would really help a guy in need out. Thanks.

I didn't take AP Stats but I did take AP Psych and I got a 5.

I wasn't in AP Psych last year, I was in IB Psychology. Everything we did was conceptual and essay-based, very little multiple choice, a lot of discussion and writing. That helped me wonders. DON'T GET STUCK ON MULTIPLE CHOICE PRACTICE. Having a great knowledge of psychology will help you infinitely more than having a great knowledge of what is on the psychology AP test.

My IB teacher was wonderful and although we didn't start preparing for the AP test in class until the week before, she gave us a packet compiled of every essay topic on the Psych tests for the past 9 years. This really helped, not only because it gave me a good idea of what the essays would be like, but it helped me review just general knowledge. Remember that it's usually more difficult to write an essay about something than to choose an answer.

As for the multiple choice, there are 100 questions. I had plenty of time to answer them. A couple of them were really hard and I just left them blank, and others I totally guessed on (not the right way to do it, but it worked for me).

I don't know if that helped at all, it was pretty general, if you have any more questions just keep them on this thread and I'll reply.

AP Stats IMO is very difficult, but a lot of people here say it's easy to self study (I disagree).

AP Stats is really easy in the beginning. You're probably doing stuff like reading graphs and like doing LSRL equations. It'll get more complex when you go into probability and chi-squared distributions (the middle of the course and the end of the course, respectively).

I ****ed up the AP test so badly but I still got a 5. You'll probably do well on the exam, but the actual CLASS is 5x harder.
