Someone tell me if this works for you

go to
https://web-auth.brown.edu/BrownTicket-1rJSypKv6iMnlD8e2cW5gA/

look at the botton of the page where it says new user and click on activate your account now

new screen pops up - click on activate your account
ditto- click on yes take me to step 1 at the bottom of the page

fill in your information. for the id number use the nine character number you use on the status check

can anyone get in?

the URL doesn't work

ok got to www.brown.edu>admission>applying to college>applying to brown> the application process> check the status of your application...then the other crap....i'm guessing if you can get in you were admitted...unless brown has sopened this yet...or gives you a diff id upon admission.....or hasn't made admissions decisions yet which i highly doubt......i tried setting up my whole account on other schools website and found out i got in before being notified ...thought i'd try it here

This is just a page telling you what materials, if any, are missing from your application.

From Brown:
Applicants to the Class of 2010 will be notified by mail of admission decisions and financial aid awards on March 30, 2006.

You can also access your admission decision on the web at:

http://admissiondecision.brown.edu/

But will acceptances come in a fat webpage or a thin webpage?

Lmao at above!

that is NOT what I'm talking about scrapiron....there is another link on that template where you go to open a new account as a NEW (accepted) student-its on the directions in post 1-sigh--nevermind

https://webapps.brown.edu/activate

just speculation ----fill out the form and see if it works---this form is DIFFERENT than the one you fill out for the status check- i just wanted to see if it works for anybody

For incoming students, your ID number is located in the upper left-hand corner of the green registration card in the packet of information sent by the Registrar's office in early July. The format is SISx##### (the letters SIS followed by a fourth letter and five numbers).

It's not even July yet, and from the looks of it, a separate userid is required to access the admitted students site.

I tried it and it said that there were "no matches found." Is that a bad thing? aaahhhhh!!!! really freaking out now.

Guys, this works elsewhere, but not on the Brown site. The Admissions and Student ID's are different. Stop freaking out.

yeah don't worry about i guess it dosen't mean anything---just tryign to pull anything to find out even a little bit earlier

Has this worked for anyone yet?

I logged in and this is what it said:

Thank you for applying to Brown University. This web page has been provided to help you determine the status of your application. Any credentials listed here as missing are limited to those required for the application process.

Applicant Name: Nicholas *****
Net-ID: 05*********

Tracking of credentials on-line is no longer available for this academic year.

NOTE: My name IS Nicholas *****.

Any thoughts?

did you go to https://webapps.brown.edu/activate ? I have been trying and I can't get it to work. Is that a bad sign?

No, that doesnt work for me either.

I went to http://www.brown.edu/Administration/Admission/applyingtobrown/theapplicationprocess.html

and then "check status of your application."

Oh, that works for me and it says the same thing that it says for anonomousn. I don't think that it means anything because everyone can log on. However, logging onto https://webapps.brown.edu/activate would be a good sign for sure.

wow i just tried to log onto this other thing and a message popped up above the user-id box where they usually pop up if you type in the worng password sayign : You don't belong to the Brown community. Access is denied.-----try it here http://www.brown.edu/Students/Bruin_Club/virtualtour.html then double click on forum under current students a log in page should come up enter your crap-----how that's some bad phrasing---i think it might be coincidence though---but i did get into the sytem just not that page---oh well

Yeah, it said the same thing to me. I don't think it means anything but you are right, it is phrased poorly.
