I want to major in Pharmacy.

What are my chances in:
Rutgers University
Northeastern
Stony Brook
U at Buffalo
U Conn
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy
Albany College of Pharmacy
LIU,
St. Johns
Hunter

I don't know that much about NY State schools but I would think Northeastern and St. Johns would be a reach, along with UConn. Can you retake those SATs? Under 500 doesn't look good, especially given your GPA

not to sound harsh or anything, but if you're really considering pharmacy, you should be extremely strong in the sciences (bio, chem) and math... your sats and sat2s dont really show that. i don't want to sound like an admissions officer or anything so don't take this to heart, but i'm pretty sure that your chances at rutgers, northeastern, uconn, and st john's are reaaally low. however, there are amazing pharmacy programs at not-so-competitve schools like albany, mass., and LIU, etc. btw, you said you wanted to major in pharmacy..... hunter and stonybrook don't have pharm.

i also want to note that, your extracurriculars are really strong, but some schools like rutgers don't look at that. their applicant pool is just too big for them to be reading all that.

some advice.... take the hardest courses you can possibly handle senior year because colleges look at that... and do well in them too because your school will most likely send midyear report cards. best of luck to you!

Most people on these forums have their eyes set on colleges that are more competitive than the ones you want to apply. Your college list would be safeties to them.

No one is discouraging you to apply; everyone is giving you "chances' which are what you want. Your feeling of discouragement is an effect of all the comments that are like: "REJECTS AT ALL THE COLLEGES".
