Something About My Situation

Hello everyone! I'm from China and immigrated to the U.S. in 2010. Right now I'm a U.S. permanent resident. However, as I was 19 year old, I could not attend high school here. Although I graduated from a high school in China, I really want to attend high school here. Anyway, without high school, I work to help my family right now. Here is my information and question for my college admission.

I think my work experience will be a good portion of my extracurricular activites in my gap year.

Unfortunately, I only got 1670 for my SAT1 Math 720 Reading 460 Writing 490. I am sure to take it three time in October, November and December.

My SAT2 is great. I got totally 2380. Math Lv1 780 Math Lv2 800 Physics 800.

My GPA ranges from 3.4-3.6

So right now do I have change to get into Ivy League Schools? Also please chance me to UC Davis, UC Berkeley, and UCLA.

You’ll need a much more superior SAT I score for Ivy Leagues. I’m not an expert at Ivy Leagues (you can ask in the Ivy League forum, though), but all of them do tend to have much much lower acceptance rates. So write a really really really GOOD personal statement. They also require interviews and stuff like that (UPenn does, at least). You have a good chance at UC Davis (still depends on your major, though). Your SAT II scores are good…I’m assuming you’re going into science/engineering, so that’s a bonus for those scores. UCB and UCLA look for higher GPAs…more in the 4.0 range and of course higher SAT I scores. Break 2000 for UCB and UCLA.

Thanks. My intended major is physics! My GPA is unweighted!
